Terms of Service
1. About Notepico
Notepico is a note-taking application provided by yimdev. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Notepico application and its available features. By installing, accessing, or using Notepico, you agree to these Terms.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use Notepico for lawful personal or other legitimate purposes. You are responsible for how you use the application and for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Your Content
You retain your rights to notes, files, images, and other content that you create or store using Notepico. You are responsible for the content you create, import, export, share, back up, or restore through the application. You should keep independent copies of important information.
4. Local Storage
Notepico stores note data and other application data on your device according to the features you use. Deleting the application, clearing its data, changing devices, or losing access to a device may result in loss of locally stored data if no usable backup is available.
5. Backup and Restore
Notepico may provide local and cloud backup features. Backup and restore results depend on the selected feature, the backup file, available storage, application permissions, device conditions, and third-party services. A backup feature should not be treated as a guarantee that every piece of data can always be recovered.
6. Encrypted Backup and Recovery Key
Notepico can encrypt backup data using AES-256-GCM and protect key material using Android Keystore. When an encrypted backup requires a Recovery Key, you are responsible for keeping that key secure. If the required Recovery Key is lost or unavailable, Notepico may not be able to decrypt or restore the corresponding encrypted backup. Do not share your Recovery Key with people you do not trust.
7. Third-Party Cloud Services
Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Dropbox are third-party services. Their availability, authentication, storage, limits, policies, and terms are controlled by their respective providers. Your use of those services through Notepico remains subject to the providers applicable terms and policies. Disconnecting a cloud account does not necessarily delete backups that were previously stored there.
8. Security and App Lock
Notepico provides security features such as App Lock and protected credential storage. These features are intended to add protection but cannot guarantee that a device, account, storage system, or transmission will be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device and account security.
9. Prohibited Uses
You must not use Notepico to violate applicable laws, infringe the rights of others, distribute malicious software, attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts, interfere with the operation of the application or its services, or use the application for unlawful or abusive activities.
10. Intellectual Property
The Notepico application, its original software, branding, design, and other materials provided by yimdev are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party libraries and components may be subject to their own licenses and terms as described in the Open-source licenses section of the application.
11. Availability and Changes
Notepico is provided as an evolving application. Features, integrations, supported devices, third-party services, and functionality may change, be suspended, or be discontinued. We may release updates, bug fixes, security improvements, or other changes when appropriate.
12. No Guarantee of Continuous Availability
We do not guarantee that Notepico or any connected third-party service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system version. Service interruptions may result from maintenance, technical failures, device limitations, network conditions, or third-party service changes.
13. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Notepico is provided without guarantees that the application will meet every individual requirement or that all data, backups, integrations, or operations will always function without errors. You should maintain appropriate backups of information that is important to you.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, yimdev will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from or related to your use of Notepico, including loss of data, loss of access, or interruption of service, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Stopping Use and Deleting Data
You may stop using Notepico at any time. You can delete local application data through the device or application features where available. Cloud backups may need to be deleted separately from the relevant cloud service. Removing the application does not necessarily delete data that was previously stored with a third-party cloud provider.
16. Privacy
Your use of Notepico is also subject to the Notepico Privacy Policy, which explains how information is processed in connection with the application and its third-party services.
17. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when the application, its features, third-party integrations, or applicable requirements change. When material changes are made, an updated version may be provided through the application or another appropriate notice method.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are intended to be interpreted under applicable law. Where legally appropriate, disputes should be handled by the competent jurisdiction applicable to the developer and the user, subject to any mandatory rights or protections provided by the laws that apply to the user.

21. Acceptance
By installing, accessing, or continuing to use Notepico after these Terms are made available, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to use the application in accordance with them.
